About
Hi and thanks for taking the time to check out Fit Body Network. My name is David Samra (that’s me on the left…..AND on the right) and I created this site to help you achieve your fitness goals. This site will be a clearinghouse of anything health and fitness related to help you get that “Fit Body” and keep it!

My goal is to help you get fit and into the best shape of your life; I want to work together with you on this life changing fitness journey because I have been
in that same exact spot you are in right now. There was a time when I thought I’d be stuck in the same health “rut” – yo-yo diets and workout plans (more on that later), the feeling that I was alone in trying to accomplish my goals, and that I would never be able to get into the kind of shape where I was happy in my own skin. I was able to get into the best shape of my life with a program called P90X and it allowed me to accomplish my fitness goals AND get healthier to ensure I’m around a lot longer. Now I am here to help you with YOUR fitness goals – to help you get healthy and have a “Fit Body.” As you’ll see from my story in just a little bit, I’ve struggled with fitness and diets for most of my life and I now want to help others who have dealt with the same things I have
My Story
On July 1, 2009 I turned 40 years old and I can honestly say I am in the best shape I’ve ever been in. I’m no way near where I want to be – I still have work to do – but I’m miles away from where I used to be. Like everyone, I have good days and bad (a lot more good thankfully) but on those days I don’t feel I’m at my best, I pick myself up and get back going in the right direction.
This thing is a journey. Thanks to all who have helped me along the way and all of those who will continue to help me going forward. I’m willing to bet we’ve all been in the same place, not knowing if we can do it or not having the support of loved ones through this process; so if you need any help with your fitness, nutrition or just some words of encouragement, advice, etc. – please let me know.
I’ve been working out since I was 13. I was a chubby pre-teen and decided I needed to load up on Joe Weider products and hit the weights. Throughout my teens and into my 20s I got in pretty good shape; not in the bodybuilder mode but just enough to be fit and in shape. As I got older the workouts became more intense but the nutrition was spotty. By the time I turned 30 I was spending 3+ hours a night at the gym and I was pretty bulked up. While I liked the size of my “guns” I was not happy with my overall fitness level. After doing the same routine for years at the gym I’d burnt out and had enough.
Early in 2008 I was 218 lbs and just frustrated. Luckily, one early Sunday morning I caught the P90X infomercial and ordered the program. By July 08, at the end of
the 90 days I dropped nearly 30 lbs and was in amazing shape; plus I accomplished one of my life long goals – abs. For years I tried and for years I failed. But with the X and proper nutrition I finally had them.
In the middle of my 2nd round in Sept 2008 a few events combined to form the “perfect storm” – throwing me off track and off the P90X trail. My mother-in-law (basically my 2nd mother – I’d known her for 25 years) got very ill and was hospitalized; I was mired in a job that was just miserable; my Bulldog (my baby) got sick; and to top it all off I broke my hand. In December 08 my mother-in-law died, putting the finishing touches on a terrible last six months of the year. All of this conspired to end my journey with the X.
Fast forward to March 2009 and I was back up to 212 pounds and my gut, and pretty much all my fat was back. Disgusted with myself, I decided
to get back on the horse and do P90X again. I won’t lie, it was tough to start over; it was as if I had never done the program in my life. I stuck with it, rededicated to the nutrition and after 90 days I was back in the shape I wanted to be in – I lost 30 lbs and regained my abs. That wasn’t the end; I’ve continued my fitness journey, working out daily and eating right so that it is now a part of my life forever. When people asked me what I did, they could see how happy I was to tell them. I truly get excited when I tell people about P90X and the other products I used to get in phenomenal shape. I feel this is my opportunity to give back and help you achieve your goals.
I’d love for you to do the same and ask that you join me here on the Fit Body Network to achieve all your goals and live all your dreams!

This is amazing, this is exactly what I need, but I live in Brazil, so I´m not sure if I can get p90x in there. Congratulations, you got a fantastic body!!!
Thanks Andry! It was a lot of hard work but as you can see, it was worth it. Let me find out for you about you ordering P90X in Brazil and will get back to you. Keep in touch and let me know if you have any questions. Kick around the rest of the site to get info, tips, etc to help you on your journey. Thanks again!
What program did you end up doing, classic, doubles or lean. Im currently in day 30 of the classic program and so far seeing really good results, starting weight was 238 down to 216.
Hey Darole -
I always stick to classic. If I feel that I need extra cardio I either do something from Insanity or P90X+ or just do some work on the elliptical machine. Your weight loss is awesome…good job; keep it up. How far along in the program are you?
