One of the strangest tips I ever received when I started doing P90X’s Ab Ripper X was to take my sneakers off. When I first heard that I scoffed and thought “what the heck is that going to do?” Well, I’m here to tell you, it actually works. Before learning this trick, the Ab Ripper exercises were a lot tougher; once I took my sneakers off, it became a little easier. I’m not here to sugar coat it and say the routine became sooooooooooo much easier, but what I can honestly tell you is that removing your sneakers does help lessen the load of these exercises.
So next time you are doing Ab Ripper X or ANY ab exercises, take off your sneakers and make it a little easier on yourself.
